They have a great Banh Mi, but you have to ask to get the bread toasted as it comes default on the softer side. Usually just get the Banh Mi, but tried the "Pork Spring Roll" this time and wouldn't recommend, thought was a bit bland and the sauce wasn't helping much. Interior of the restaurant is pretty small though, more of a takeout place. Have come a few times to get lunch, always very fast and can't beat the price.

Lucky to find this great hole in the wall on my work commute. Bought a duck bahn mi and the bread is so fresh. The staff are nice and generous in portions and extra sauces. Orders are made fresh. The inside is clean and full of snacks and drinks too. Definitely want to try their other menu options in the future.

Its a take out Viet spot, prices are very reasonable, they prep it relatively fast and the taste is great. I had tried their beef Saigon pho. Pretty much as good as it will get in the area. The folks servicing the counter are really nice and kind. They even gave suggestions on how to minimize my cost and get the quickest takeout service and suggested for me to call in the order vs. food ordering apps. One of the very few reasonably priced joints in the area.

Absolutely superb!! I would've mistaken this hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese takeout joint for a cell phone shop and walked on by if it weren't for Yelp. Located on E. 44th off to the side of Grand Central station with an unassuming store front, this place makes some of the best banh mi in the city! The guy minding the counter told me the Banh Mi Saigon is his favorite sandwich here so that's what I ordered, and it did not disappoint! The bbq lemongrass pork rice box is also terrific, with tender and flavorful pork slices, served with a zesty sauce (your choice of dressing - I picked sesame basil). My toddler and I devoured the creamy taro tapioca pudding. I'm eager to try the pho, bun bo hue, coconut soups, and ramen next, but if this experience is any indication, I have high expectations of those other dishes too. I just love hidden gems like this - totally unembellished and unexpected, serving top notch food! The great prices are an extra plus.

You can name all the viet food places in Midtown East, meaning there aren't that many. This is an in and out spot, that gets a good chunk of business during lunch hours, and a small dinner rush (by personal experience). The menu is rather extensive for a small establishment. They serve a solid banh mih, and an awesome pork dumpling soup! Plays the best country music, as well!

Order: - Grilled pork bahn mi (5/5) - Pork summer rolls (4/5) Pros: - Great tasting food. The bahn mi was really filling. The pork summer rolls had a little too much mint for my taste, but was still really good - Affordable. One of the few places in the area where you can get a cheap meal and not be fast food - Quick service Cons: - Small store. Most people wait outside for their food to come out because of how small it is inside. Don't worry; the staff comes out with the food when it's ready Overall: Great place for a quick/cheap meal but great tasting Vietnamese food. I will definitely be ordering from here more

Stumbled upon here as I was walking around the area at lunch. Good selection of lunch options at decent prices too. I've had two things from here so far : - noodle salad with chicken: chicken was a bit dry, would try a different protein next time - spicy chicken broth with noodles: tasty however loaded with lots of raw onion and chicken All under $12 with tax; less if you pay with cash.

I wish I had known about this place earlier as I would've tried out other stuff from their menu. However, it is better late than never. This place is literally a hole in the wall. You can only take out food, and there's no place to dine-in here at all. The place asks that you pay with cash as it will be cheaper. I fortunately carry cash with me for the most part, so it worked out. Once you order food, they give you a ticket, and you can either wait inside or outside. They call the ticket number, and that's how the food is given to you. I got an S30, which is the traditional viet sandwich. It has different types of meat on it, and it comes with other toppings in a toasted baguette. I enjoyed it! I would like like to go back to try other entrees off the menu such as their pho. I'll be going back.

Relying on my trusty Yelp app, I searched for a lunch in midtown, steps from Grand Central Terminal. This Vietnamese sandwich shop beckoned me with a rating of four and a half out of 5-stars. Worth a look. The line was just a short 10- minute wait after noon. The price was right for a roast pork "signature" banh mi sandwich and the price of $9 including tax is great for this area where lunch can easily cost you over$20. It is merely a booth where you order and pick up. I found a nice pocket urban park with tables and chairs a short block away for lunching al fresco. Aaah, now that's what I'm talkin' about! The flavorful roast pork on a nice crisp baguette is what dreams are made of. Order it mild or spicy. Crunchy shredded carrot and cucumber bring it all home for me seasoned with a special sauce that would make McDonalds' jealous.
